We are seeking a dedicated Physical Education/Wellness Teacher to guide the development and implementation of a DYS (Juvenile Justice) instructional program that will enable students to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for lifelong health, fitness, and well-being. This is achieved through a combination of health/fitness related educational services, effective collaborative relationships, professional development, and a commitment to strength-based, culturally sensitive student support.
We have two open positions.
Northeast Massachusetts region, serving Peabody, Middleton, Framingham, Methuen
Southeast Massachusetts region, serving Brockton, Taunton, Plymouth and New Bedford
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University in related field. Master’s preferred.
Possession of a Massachusetts Physical Education and/or Health teacher license (secondary level) or willingness to engage with us in a directed program of education and practicum to achieve a license.
Demonstrated success teaching with adolescents placed at risk.
Have demonstrated strong written and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
Salary range is $52,693 to $74,629 depending on education, license and experience. School year is 186 days (August to June) The position is full time and includes benefits.
