SMS 732: Tactical Games Approach to Teaching PE
This course is an introduction to tactical complexity of games (net, invasion, striking, fielding, and games). Extending, refining, and application tasks will be introduced, using the four stages of skill development in games. Students will independently study the tactical games model. The application portion includes effective decision making during game play, participating in small-sided games in class, and practice teaching episodes. Hybrid course: Meets on campus July 11, 18, & August 1, 4:30 pm to 6:50 pm completion of course is online. Graduate credits: 3.00

Cambridge College is offering a new, exciting program for health and physical educators who are seeking a professional license (MA only) or a professional license and a Master’s degree. At our beautiful new campus at Hood Park in Charlestown, the program begins in July of 2018 with required and elective courses in health and physical education taught by experts in the field. The program continues to the fall and spring semesters with online courses and finishes the second summer with face to face courses during the month of July.
